So I went to Otakon for the first this year. It was just okay. I feel alseep in the hallway at one point on Saturday afternoon.. Mostly, I just went to OtaCafe and the dealer's room (where I was working). Which brings me to my most important point.

YOU BETTER BE AT AUSA 2009! YES YOU!

There are no more artist alley tables though, those sold out fast. sorry gaiz D=

Also, that thursday before Otakon, I was lucky enough to score some free tix to the VAMPS show which, I have to admit, was pretty awesome. HYDE and K.A.Z. have good stage presence. I wish I hadn't been so crowded though, and that they hadn't canceled the backstage meet. I was really looking forward to that

Bad Otakon (since they were supposedly the ones running it).

Hopefully I'll make it to some other awesome lives this summer. The Horros in Sept and the Noisettes in Aug (I think). I should probably check the dates before then lol

I'm working on a new site now though, so that should be up by the end of the quarter (def. by the end of thise quarter since its for class lol)

Still studying for the 日本語能力試験。３級したいんですが文法はむずかしいね。そして最近は大阪弁を勉強しています。めっちゃおもろいよ。もっと知りたいね。（＾３＾）

that's kinda ironic how i mentioned to you that i was gonna go see Vamps, but then i couldn't because of other plans....and then you ended up going! JEALOUS.

I'm going to the NY Anime Festival at the end of Sept. You should go so we can meet up!

You were at Otakon? I had no idea. Dx. Though this Otakon was kind of boring x.x Others have been better @.@

And Carly and I have a booth for AUSA

D Mostly her hats, but I'm going to be selling some face masks and cell phone charms if I can figure out how to make them right u.u

NYAF?! oh snaps thats fancy. You gonna have a table? Need a booth babe?? lol At the end of Sept, i'm hoping to have enough money saved up for an excursion to London for a week. I think I need to get another job though lol

VAMPS show was pretty kickass. HYDE was showing off his nipple ring xD ewwwww lol

yay! i'll definitely be able to find you guys at AUSA. since its like.. a quarter the size of Otakon, but i think thats a good thing =]
i'm mad i missed you at Otakon though! I saw mike once, and i saw andrew once, and then never again. lol

seriously you need to take like 3 days off for this event and come down or atleast 1 full day on Saturday or anything would be great. But since you have plans already that wouldn't work i guess.

I don't plan on having a booth at the big events until I have my book printed. Also none of my artwork I'm focusing on is related to Anime or Manga so that 's another reason

It cost like $150-350 for a table and most people barely sell anything, so I want to focus more on the NY Comic Con for next year and hopefully I will have something printed by then. It's hard when it's just 1 person doing everything, Story, Art, Coloring.

It's based on horror. It is more story driven than just splash pages filled with action poses. It is in my art style completely, realistic, hence the long ass time drawing details. Think along the lines of Alex Ross and Greg Land's art. For more realistic reference and art-style i've taken it to the max by modeling out and 3D-ing all of the locations and buildings in the story. A friend of mind is working on music for it, eventually when I make a short 3D trailer out of it. There is more work to be done so lets see how it turns out. It's a personal project of mine for many long years.

very nice sir..! i've noticed a lot of horror genre stuff lately (most zombie apocalypse-related at my school). i hope you put up some previews for it soon ^^
